Jul 27, Sheziss rated it did not like it Shelves: I didn’t expect this level of banter and humor along with everything else. I’m not saying the book is necessarily bad. Wil, the survivor who runs through his rainbow of emotions from one sentence to the next.
And while the book ends with our heroes yet to form a bond, the lead-up is riveting. The writing is simply beautiful and it’s admirable how Ms. Man do I love this book. Being gay is a part of their characters, but not a driving element of the plot, and not a vehicle for titillation.
Dream (Aisling Trilogy, #2) by Carole Cummings
It is a stewpot of intrigue and likely to get worse before it gets better. It soon becomes obvious that this is a deliberate ploy by the author as Dallin too, is thrust into a world he never suspected existed ucmmings his own life and as Dallin finds some form of understanding, so too does the reader. I would definitely recommend.
I wouldn’t normally hav Since this isn’t a stand-alone novel, it feels a bit arbitrary to give it a rating. Dallin and Wil must accept their roles as the Guardian and the Aisling and stand together against a ruthless god in a cataclysmic battle of dreams and wills, the fates of both of their souls and those of all mortals hanging in the balance.

There is alot of character growth that happens in this book and as Wil and Dallin grow as individuals their relationship also evolves. The Dreamer is Dreaming and the Watcher is Watching. Aisling Book Two was beyond amazing. By itself, I would say that it toes the line of obfuscation, but does so gently and beautifully, so that you yearn to follow the threads being woven to see where they lead.

The world-building is one of the pillars of good fantasy and, usually, one of the first things that should be addressed when reviewing the fantasy book. Julian is more ccummings than most, and knows the job inside and out. Yes, this keeps us all interested and wanting to find out what happens next but I’m finding it’s occurring far too often for my liking.
