Nov 17, amanda Navarro rated it it was ok. I mean, I ‘get it’ – the Bible says to be excellent at what is good and to stay innocent of evil, but I think presenting the Antichrist in such a way as to inspire contempt and disrespect does Christians a disservice; he kills people with reckless abandon in the novels but comes across as take mentally unstable when he does so.
This particular book desecratoin on the thhe of the believers to the safety of Petra after the antichrist, Nicholae Carpathia, desecrates the temple and forces the people to worship him. Desecration (Left Behind, #9) by Tim LaHaye
He has no special skill set that aids the Tribulation Force, but he is always sent on these special missions, apparently just so the I didn’t care for this book. It was pretty neat, and, for some bizarre reason, reminded me of the Matrix. What I like yhe the Left Behind series is that it makes the book of Revelation easier to understand. The bad writing of the series is starting to get annoying.

Like the reader doesn’t know what’s going to happen!
You start hating Nicholae anti-Christ and get scared listening to his rantings. I mean, Hollywood does a better job of presenting evil onscreen even in previews for movies. It is not just Christians who oppose him – the Orthodox Jews are fighting his determination to place the abomination of desolation is it bad that I keep thinking what a great name for a heavy metal band that would be?
Themes discussed in the novel include faith as well as the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. Christian Speculative Fiction Post-apocalyptic fiction.
As I have mentioned before some of this is preaching to the choir and some of it is theologically narrow see my review of the remnant for an example of that. Chaim was always a somewhat important character, but now we know that he will have more to do with the plot. It takes place 42—43 months into the Tribulation and 25 days to a month into the Great Tribulation. In Chicago, Chloe Williams discovers that there is another lighted building in the vicinity.
Chapters 18 and She had no idea that GC satellites could spot her [and why would they be watching Chicago in the first place? David Hassid, a computer engineer and important part of the Tribulation Force, is killed by two stray GC troops as he waits for the Christians to begin arriving in Petra. Possibly the best one so far. Chapters 10 and Three Tribulation Force members are killed in an ambush during a rescue mission gone wrong in Greece.
As the ones before it this one also challenges my faith and I was highly entertained. The driver pulls some crazy stunts to the point he was following some GC vehicles across the desert when the GC vehicles disappeared in a vast chasm that opened up in front of them.
What I think could be improved is the fluff surrounding the main events of the story. I’ll finish the series but I think I’m done actually enjoying it.
The other had to do with Thrne and some young male teenager trying to find a young female teenager; the intent was to smuggle them out of Greece and to safety.
Left Behind, even if it isn’t the best interpretation of Scripture and I know it’s notmakes it easier to understand. This is not the best of the series, and this is why I gave it four stars.
Other than rebelling against God, he is no dummy when compared to human beings, that is. I xesecration didn’t get it. He’s in control in these series – as He is in our own lives! I started reading the first book in this wonderful series just as soon as I heard about them.
Shocked that it took 9 books before people actually started fighting back against this man. Nicolae Carpathia is returning to Jerusalem to claim as his own the temple there and help begin the loyalty mark program. I recommend this book, but after you have read the rest of the series. I wouldn’t be able to come up with someone so evil as Nicolae Carpathia. Feb 08, Elijah Abanto rated it it was amazing.
When the temple is defiled, millions of Jews and Gentiles rebel against Nicolae and many of them become believers.
