They need to be rated above my voltages also. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.
It can be 2x to 4x ,m2940 at 2 x mains frequency. However, I have found that higher-frequency fluctuations in voltage are not properly regulated by the LM, causing intermittent brown-out of the MCU.

LM what capacitors?
Is the scope trace shown when under load? As, if anything, your ESR may be too high it seems I’d try another cap in parallel. Schematic of the regulation circuit.
The datasheet specifies the drop-out voltage as 0. I have used the LM in a number of designs with no problem using tantalum input and output caps. In second case the OKI is highly suggested.
Thanks for your time. And also separately a resistor in series for belts and braces coverage: NB – in the pdf you cite they say: Do you also have the input capacitor 0.
This chip predates big cheap ceramic caps, I think. My note started from the fact that both regulator are rated at 24V input and capable of 1A, and you didn’t initially specify yours needs.
Also why do you have 18MHz 1. Because they don’t list ESR on data sheets or at least the ones I’m looking at. You have 5V on the schematic which can’t work. Sign up using Facebook. You quote the ESR at kHz. Home Questions Tags Users Unanswered. May be increased without bound to maintain regulation during transients.
Have you taken their compulsory advice re the output capacitor? Does anyone have any ideas how I might stabilize this output? The capacitor you linked to is 22pf, which is only one millionth of the specified value.
LM datasheet & applicatoin notes – Datasheet Archive
Or offer an alternative regulator that is more linear at high frequency As suggested in this answer? With such low power eatasheet you can go with the linear regulator, you shouldn’t have any problem. Layout and circuit are crucial.
